Colostrum Management Update

Our summer project on evaluating the rate of passive transfer in calves is underway and it looks discouraging.  Only 57% have reached the desired level of total protein, meaning there are still too many calves out there that failed to get enough clean, quality colostrum in a timely manner.  What this means is that every farm could benefit from some improvements in their management of colostrum.
